A tribal cemetery near Randle holds generations of Kionas, one of the most important native families in Lewis County. The cemetery fell into disrepair over the last several decades until Cowlitz member and Kiona descendant Nina Atkins restored it to its former glory. She invited members of the Cowlitz and other tribes to a private ceremony at the cemetery May 1, 2011.
